<h2>Contract Disputes Act</h2><p>The Contract Disputes Act (CDA), 41 U.S.C. §§ 7101-7109, is the primary statute governing disputes arising under federal government contracts. The CDA establishes a mandatory claims process and provides two appellate forums for contractor claims against the government.</p><h2>CDA Process</h2><ul><li><strong>Claim submission:</strong> Contractor submits a written claim to the contracting officer</li><li><strong>Contracting officer decision:</strong> Must issue a final decision within 60 days (claims under $100,000) or a reasonable time</li><li><strong>Appeal:</strong> Contractor can appeal to the relevant Board of Contract Appeals (within 90 days) or the Court of Federal Claims (within 12 months)</li></ul>
